These little brooches came about in a very unplanned way. A lady who knew me as a jeweller approached me saying that her old friend, en enameller, died and left behind some enamels that nobody wanted or could use. Would I want it?
I would! It is true that up until that moment, the ancient art of enamelling was passing me by. Real enamels, tools, kilns... I did not have any of it. Well, now I did have the enamels. Old school. Chunks of glass that you have to grind yourself. Challenge was accepted.
It is a road in front of me that I am really looking forward to taking.
